Eligibility

Candidates who have completed Class 10 (High School) from a school recognized by NCVT/SCVT or hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT. Age limit 18-33 years as on 01 January 2026. Indian citizen with age relaxations for SC, ST, OBC as per railway norms.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the official notification for Railway Group D Level-1 Recruitment 2026 (Advertisement No. CEN 09/2025). This is a major recruitment drive offering 22,195 posts across various railway zones in India. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) format, and candidates can apply online from 31 January 2026 until 09 March 2026.

About Railway RRB Group D Level-1 Recruitment 2026

The Railway Recruitment Board conducts this recruitment to fill various Group D Level-1 positions such as Pointsman-B, Track Maintainer Grade IV, Assistant Track Machine, Assistant Bridge, Assistant P-Way, Assistant C&W, Assistant TRD, Assistant S&T, Assistant Loco Shed (Electrical), Assistant Operations (Electrical), and Assistant TL & AC across all railway zones in India. Selected candidates will receive salary ranging from ₹22,000 to ₹27,000 per month based on their position and location, along with other benefits and allowances as per railway norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for Railway RRB Group D Level-1 Recruitment 2026:

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates for Group D Level-1 positions will receive:

  • Salary Range: ₹22,000 to ₹27,000 per month (as per 7th Pay Commission)
  • Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Conveyance Allowance, and other perks as applicable
  • Pension Benefits: Eligible for Railway Pension Scheme

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT-I): 100 questions carrying 100 marks in 90 minutes covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying round based on the criteria specified for each post
  • Document Verification: Verification of educational and personal documents
  • Medical Examination: Final medical fitness check

How to Download Admit Card

Candidates can download their admit card for the CBT-I examination using the following steps:

  2. Enter your Enrollment Number, Registration Number, or Date of Birth
  3. Click the "Download Admit Card" link
  4. The admit card will appear on the screen
  5. Download and take multiple printouts for exam day
  6. Carry the admit card along with valid photo ID to the examination centre
